Are You Building Strategic Alliances?
I often talk about the power of networking and it's because I really believe that the chance encounter you have with someone can really spark new ideas, change, or opportunity in your business.
So what are strategic alliances? Well, one definition is a mutually beneficial arrangement between two separate companies that do not directly compete with one another. Another version of that is: you want to form partnerships with people who share the same target audience you serve, but whose business doesn’t necessarily overlap with yours.
Say you're a wedding photographer. You want to add people to your circle who are wedding planners, videographers, bakery owners, calligraphers, etc.
All of you have the opportunity to find a way to work together and gain more exposure for your individual businesses. You can work together by hosting workshops or seminars, co-hosting webinars, or even live events.
This week I want you to think about your goals or plans for the rest of the year. Is there someone you're acquainted with who can help you get where you need to be? And can you, in turn, help them grow their business?
Think about how you can team up to create something great together - something that benefits both of you. The goal is to help each other and attract new clients in the process. Pick up the phone and reach out to someone. Make a plan to work together before the end of this year!
