Welcome, Friends of Gerald McBride!

Curious About Voice Acting? You're in the Right Place.

If Gerald sent you here, chances are you're curious about voice acting and wondering what it really takes to get started. Whether you're exploring the possibilities or ready to develop your skills, you'll find practical guidance and training to help you better understand your voice, build confidence, and learn how the voiceover business works.

Gerald has been an important part of my own voiceover journey. I began as one of his interns at Voice Over Productions, where his mentorship helped shape the professional I would become. Today, I'm honored that Gerald trusts me to help people he meets who want to learn more about voice acting.

I'm Havilland Maxwell, a professional voice actor, voice-acting coach, and former talent agency audition coordinator with more than 15 years of experience in voiceover, on-camera work, broadcasting, and production.

My voiceover work has included projects for nationally recognized brands such as Apple, Mastercard, Capital One, Dude Wipes, Macy's, Kroger, IBM, Prudential, and ExxonMobil, and my work on a television image campaign earned a nomination for an Ohio Valley Regional Emmy® Award.

But my experience isn't limited to performing. I've worked behind the scenes in television, production, and post-production, and spent five years as an audition coordinator at a talent agency—giving me a firsthand understanding of what happens on both sides of the audition process.

Today, I bring that experience into my coaching. I help aspiring voice actors develop their performance skills, understand the business, build confidence behind the mic, and make informed decisions about how they want to pursue voiceover.

“I just booked my first audiobook! I absolutely would recommend the VOICEOVER CONFIDENCE coaching program! It allows people who want to get into voiceover work but don't know where to start to get a great foundation. Instead of scouring the internet, people can work with someone they know they can trust.”
